I love to make reservations. I love to travel. I don’t get to do a lot of either because we work so much. One of my favorite cities the visit from time to time is Nashville. So here are all of my “reservation” recommendations for Nashville, from hotel to food. Nashvegas here you come!
First you have to stay at the Omni Hotel in Music City, the bar inside called Barlines is super fun day or night. We might have danced with strangers and closed it down from time to time. The Restaurant Kitchen Notes inside the hotel is great for breakfast. The hotel is in an amazing location and is right near the Music Hall of Fame!
There are also several adorable little shops inside the Omni with vintage posters, anything you may need for your stay, as well as boutiques.
If you are not staying in Music City then book a room at the hip Hutton Hotel closer to Vandy and a really cool spot.
Once you get checked in, here is my list of any and all of the places I would recommend!
There are lots of restaurants to try in Music City – The Southern, Farm House (spoiler alert I know the owners) and Etch to name a few.
Hopefully you have made these plans far enough in advance to make reservations at Rolf and Daughters, which is our favorite!
One of the restaurant groups owns quite the array of spots to try as well – Kayne Prime, Virago, Tavern, Saint Anejo, Whiskey Kitchen and Moto Cucina and Enoteca.
The list goes on and on – Fido Coffee, City House, The Catbird Seat.
If you are looking for authentic Nashville – Loveless Café and Hattie B’s Hot Chicken are a must.
If you venture to the mall in Greenhills – check out The Food Co.
And even John Besh has opened Marsh House in the Gulch.
Honestly still going – 404 Kitchen, 5th and Taylor, Adeles, Pinewood Social.
So in a nutshell – Nashville is such a fun spot and the food is phenomenal. I don’t think you can eat bad food in Nashville.
I didn’t even mention the obvious music of course there is incredible music everywhere you go but Libations and Sustenance are a must!
Right after her freshman year at LSU, Megan (my oldest) and I were able to take a trip to Nashville to see Bonnie Raitt at the Country Music Hall of Fame Theater and John Prine made a guest appearance. She is too young to know Bonnie Raitt but even she had chills. The pictures in this post are from our trip, we can’t wait to go back!
